Gonna use these for terrain.
Just got these in today. Perfect for gaming with Warmachine and Hordes and other games.
Er.. “mm” scale should be read “Millimeter” Scale. As in 10-15 Millimeter scale, or 25-35 Millimeter Scale.
I picked this up lat year from my local game shop. Very much worth it as these were only 20 bucks for the large hill and 20 bucks for the set of 2 small hills.
I bought this mat from http://www.theterrainguy.com. Here’s a video of the map. I like it very much and works very well as a portable gaming table solution.
I’d like to point all my blog visitors over to a new blog called Senji Studios. It features the work of my friend Pat Ota whose work has been feature many times at No Quarter Magazine. Check out his terrain masterpieces and more.
Just got the Sabol Designs SD-Combat Mat in the mail courtesy of The WarStore. It’s a pretty heavy mat that is made out of a durable material that is similar to what computer mouse pads are made up but a bit grainier. Not too sure what it is.
Here are some pictures so you can see for yourself.
With all the hype around the release of Warhammer 40,000 5th edition, I’ve been getting bit by the GW bug. Today I picked up the Imperial Sector boxset from my local game shop. It’s a huge and heavy kit. It was either that or a Space Marine battle force. I think I will wait till September to start my Space Marine force.
I got my imperial sector kit from Games day ’09 and i took it home to assemble it. I used the cover to a 3 ring binder to mount it on. its light and the paper pocket makes a handy hand strap for on handed carrying. its stiff but, able to cut it. just a thought.
Got most of the general work done on my Red Blok Terrain set. What I have here are two command structures (possibly one is a communications structure), a pair of water containers and a power generator. This is supposed to be a modular Red Blok base that is dropped in sections in areas where Red Blok forces need a quick command post. Just need to do the detail work on these guys.
While I was at Wal*Mart with my daughter today I got some inspirations for terrain for AT-43. I started picking this up left and right to see what kind of hodge-podge terrain creation I could make. Here’s what I bought. Hopefully in the next couple days it will turn out to be decent looking terrain.

Stunning piece of terrain. Was it fun to play on? Or did the board overly constrain movement?

It was a ton of to play on. Also played 3 games on that thing and while there were movement penalties to most of the terrain it just made the tactical decisions more challenging. I had a blast. :)
