AE-Bounty Is Here
Just got this in the mail yesterday. I only had time to do an initial thumb through but it looks really good. I’ll post more after I have had some time to read it more.

Just got word from my ninja that he was able to secure me a copy of Fate along with the deck. Here’s what I know of it from him.
Around 100 pages filled mostly with stats. Nicely laid out with lots of pictures of miniatures. Cover is by Paul Bonner. My friend is planning to ship it out to me this Monday. It was sold as a deal with a deck for 26 Pounds. Roughly $40.00.
I can hardly wait to get my hands on it.
I just got mine the other day, looking forward to painting her. I need to practice my fleshtones, and she has plenty of space for that!
Very nice unboxing!
I ordered this figure last week and I’m very eager to work on it. It’s the pinup version of Kingdom Death Twilight Knight. Check it out here.
There’s a new a
game coming out on the horizon called Kingdom Death. It’s a board game that uses 35mm miniatures by Adam Poots.
Kingdom Death: Adventure into the abyss is a high quality board game that takes place in a world were humanity is an endangered species.
The miniatures will be released in waves before the actual board game release in 2010. Miniatures are cast in resin.
The concept art and the preview sculpts look really awesome and I can’t wait to get my hands on these miniatures when they are released.
Check out the Kingdom Death website for more information of the world and game play.
The sound of it and that art remind me of Tribe 8 from Dream Pod 9, which isn’t a bad thing..
Heya Lark, we got about 100 page views from your blog post! Thank you so much!
I got my Ex-Illis starter from my GenCon ninja today and I’m a bit disappointed. I originally thought the tiles were 1 foot squares but now learn they are only 9″. I made the mistake of thinking “5 x 4 board” meant in feet.
I registered my set to download the beta and find that the install is extremely buggy. This is not what I expected for the beta. I though we would be beta testing actually game play and interaction, not software installs.
I will put this game down for now. When they get the software right I will try it out.
Have you tried it out again ? I recently got it and it`s very nice. I’m looking around for more players :)
Earlier this week I pre-ordered a “Black Box” copy of the Warlands starter. I really hope this comes in this weekend so I have something to work on. For more information on Warlands click here.
Here are some pictures of the miniatures in the Mutant Chronicles Starter Box.
Today I picked up the Mutant Chronicles starter and the World of Warcraft Adventure Game, both from Fantasy Flight. I hope to try both games soon.
I’m curious on how well Mutant Chronicles is doing. I don’t know anyone locally who picked up the game and it doesn’t seem to be flying off the shelves. I remember when it was posted that Fantasy Flight was changing it’s format to non-blind purchase it seems everyone was cheering on how great a move it was by Fantasy Flight and how other upcoming CMG’s should such as Monsterpocalypse should follow suit.
On the World of Warcraft Miniatures forums there are reported shortages of product, and Privateer Press has reported selling out it’s starters at the manufacturer’s level. I can see the effects of these shortages locally as World of Warcraft Miniatures and Monsterpocalypse have been flying off shelves since they were released. But what about Mutant Chronicles? I’ve not read any reports pertaining to it’s sales or success or shortage of product.
I’m really curious on why it’s not experiencing the same success as the other Monsterpocalyse and World of Warcraft Miniatures. Is it the change for format from blind to non-blind? Is it the rules? Is it the large scale of the figures?
Personally I resisted buying this game because of the scale and because while the box sets were not blind the faction I was interested in had packs of miniatures that had 4 of the same sculpt in it with different paint jobs. Also the fact that nobody here seems to be interested in it. I predict I will see these figures on clearance sometime next year.
Yesterday I picked up some old void stock on clearance. The cool part is they are made out resin. The even cooler part is they are cheap. The sad part is I will probably do absolutely nothing with them.
Wow… collectible is really addictive. Yesterday I bought 2 boosters and today I bought 1 booster. I think that will be it for me… for now. I need to save up for 2 other collectible miniatures game on the horizon Monsterpocalypse and World of Warcraft. Speaking of World of Warcraft… here’s a really funny video.
Wow…what don’t you get into?
However, I am interested in how Monsterpocalypse looks. This may just get me back to the table.
Yesterday I had an extra 15 bucks that was itching to leave my pocket. As I left one of the shops I game at I picked up the new Dungeon & Dragons Miniatures starter. You get quite a bit of stuff for $15.00. You get 5 miniatures and their respective cards, a D20, the rules, 2 terrain maps to play on and some cardboard counters. I like the way the new rules work. I must resist buying a case of these.
Today I got Frontiers in the mail. For $29.99 you get a whole lot of stuff. The rules seem very easy. I hope to try this out sometime next week.
Today I ordered the Frontiers board game made by Asmodee Editions. What really sold it for me was this video review by Bookshelf Games.

I picked this up as well as all the minis for AE Bounty at Gen Con.
I’m enjoying the book but so far I haven’t been able to get in a game. Seems all my buddies are stuck playing computer games!
