Today I played a quick game of Warmachine with my friend. We both had 50 points. I used Kreoss and my friend used the new Khador caster (the name escapes me).
Deployment
I won the starting roll and decided to go second to take advantage of the tier where I get to deploy Gravus and my cav. during advance deployment.

Here’s my attempt at a video battle report. Today I played a game of Warhammer 40K using my Ultra Marines against Imperial Guard. The mission of was Seize Ground and deployment was Dawn of War.
I didn’t get to video the end of the game as I was in a rush to beat traffic but the result is that I lost because I didn’t have any scoring units on any of the objectives while my opponent had one. It was a really fun game.
Sorry for the shakiness of the video. I need to be more aware when I’m recording casually.

Last night I played some Warmachine and we couldn’t decide how many points we were going to play. My friend jokingly said he’s going to play everything he brought. I told him let’s do it. Let’s try something crazy. So we rolled for terrain and placed terrain then rolled for deployment. He got to go first. Here’s what was deployed on the table. (More …)

Last night I got to try 750 points with the Mercenary Pirate goodness of Broadsides Bart. Here’s my list.
While not the optimal list I wanted to stick to the Pirate theme of my army. I would have added more Sea Dogs to run interference but 20 of them are headed for the hands of Kim over at Warmachine Philippines for painting.
My opponents list had the following.
Being a new warcaster to toy with I made a lot of mistakes with Broadsides. I forgot to cast Hot Shot early to upkeep it and I also forgot to cast Deadweight on my Sea Dog right next to Caine that would have stopped any assassination attempt at all. Bart popped his feat while Caine was in his Control Area and Caine’s range is the same as Bart’s Control Area. To by pass Bart’s feat, Caine cast Stasis on himself and then walked up with 4 focus left to attack. He hit twice but missed with the last shot. Caine needed 9′s to hit because of the -3 to attack of Bart’s feat. Now if I remembered to cast Deadweight on my Sea Dog, it would have been destroyed and I could have selected Caine to either forfeit his movement or action. Caine wouldn’t have been able to make successful assassination run but because he would only be able to have 1 boosted shot at RAT 6 and his second one without a boost. Caine would have to spend 3 Focus on Gate Crasher to be able to get out and attack Broadsides leaving him with only 1 Focus.
Another big mistake of mine was not letting Dirty Meg Jackmarshall a warjack. Upone careful reading of her stats, her drives only work on Jackmarshalled warjacks. Oh well, I will know better next time.
All in all Broadsides Bart was a blast to play with.
Last night we played a game of AT-43. 2000 points with 1500 points assault force and 500 points reinforcements. It seem to go good for me early in the game by getting rid of most of my opponents TAC Arms but quickly went down hill as my Kossak and KK5 got torn apart. I wasn’t able to get my mechanics up quick enough to repair my striders. All in all it was a great game. I’m actually wanting to play up to 3000 points now.
On a side note we got a new player to play the game and now he’s hooked. I hope we have more AT-43 nights in the future.
Played a game tonight against the Dark. My team consisted of Feng Yi with Nullum Lusec, Evangeline with Presense, Dereck Shezard, Janus Faith, and Akio Kageshima. My opponent had Dark Chesire, Harod, Faust Orbatos, Celia. Sophia Ilmora, and Tsubasa Kurokami.
We played 3 games that night and it was lots of fun. I giving Derek tons of Haste to prepare him for battle. Feng Yi i is awesome. Next time I play I want to try the Dark faction.
